Hyman Zeitz, a director of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum and of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, prominent Brooklyn merchant and banker, died Tuesday morning in his seventieth year after an operation. Mr. Zeitz was president of Martin’s Department Store for the last twenty-six years. In 1926 he made an investigation for the United Jewish Charities of the conditions of impoverished Jews in Paris.
