The Central Executive Committee of the Ica denies a report which was recently published in the press that the Immigration Bureau of the Ica in Constantinople has been closed.
The Ica declares that, in view of the fact that Jewish immigration from Russia has greatly diminished, and the new regulations introduced by the Turkish government prohibit the disembarkation of immigrants in Constantinople, the Administrative staff of the Immigration Bureau of the Ica has been reduced.
In this connection, the Ica calls attention to the fact that since December 1922, about 2,000 refugees have been transported from Constantinople to other points of destination entirely at the expense of the Ica.
