IDF Soldier Dies of Wounds

The 654th Israel Defense Force soldier to die as a result of action in Lebanon, was buried today — Independence Day — at the Carmel Beach cemetery in Haifa. Pvt. Baruch Stern, 20, of Kiryat Shmuel, succumbed yesterday to wounds he suffered three weeks ago in a bomb explosion at the Kasmiye bridge over the Litani River in south Lebanon.
