The state conference for Illinois, which has a quota of $500,000, outside of Chicago, in the United Jewish Campaign was held here on Sunday. Several hundred prominent Jews throughout the state attended.
Arthur Lehmann of Peoria, the Illinois state chairman, presided. Dr. Henry Moskowitz, chairman of the Ort Reconstruction Fund and Judge Harry M. Fisher of Chicago addressed the gathering.
A telegram was received from Congressman Hull, a non-Jew, announcing his contribution of $1,000.
