Jewish immigrants except those of British nationality can find no refuge at present in New South Wales, but the future may see a change of this policy, according to word received from the government at Sidney by the Jewish Correspondence Bureau.
“The government’s policy” writes the Secretary of the Immigration Bureau, “is at present restricted to the immigration of Britishers and the government would welcome Jews of British nationality under appropriate safeguards as to their finding employment here. The question of extending immigration facilities to persons of other nations will receive consideration at a later date.”
