There are 20,500 Jews living on the settled areas of Jewish National Fund land, according to the annual report of the fund for the year ending September 30, 1933. Of these, there are 8,900 individuals on plantations land, 5,600 on grain-lands, 4,000 on urban and suburban land, and 1,800 in workers camps.

Up to the same date the Jewish National Fund had planted 1,341,847 trees in the country, of which 395,000 were in the Balfour Forest in the Emek Israel. The woods are distributed over nineteen settlements.
