The number of Arab students crossing from Jordan to spend the holidays with their families on the West Bank rose sharply the latter part of last week and averaged 200 daily as against the 50 previously reported. It was believed the increase was the result of the Jordanian Government’s announcement that it would exchange passports bearing the Israel entrance stamp. Other Arab nations do not honor a passport bearing the Israeli stamp.
