El-Al, Israel’s national airline, is dispatching two planes to Shannon, Ireland, to pick up and fly to the United States the first contingent of some 400 American students stranded in Europe, El-Al offices here announced today.
The students were stranded when the planes they were originally scheduled to use were diverted to the Pacific airlift, which is carrying supplies to American forces in Korea. Youth Argosy, a student tourist organization, chartered the Israel craft to return the students to New York.
