The world premiere showing of a special collection of original styles by prominent United States and Israel fashion designers was witnessed tonight by more than 400 persons, including top New York dress industry leaders, at a dinner sponsored by the Israel Bond Organization at the Hotel Statler-Hilton.
The event was the first of a series to be held in major cities in this country and Canada to point up the development of Israel’s fashion and textile industries. Ten American designers participated in the showing by contributing original styles made of Israel fabrics. The fashion showing and dinner resulted in the sale of more than $100, 000 in Israel bonds.
