Israel and New Zealand formally restored ties that had been suspended over espionage allegations. Israel’s new ambassador, Naftali Tamir, presented his credentials in Wellington on Tuesday after Jerusalem apologized in writing on behalf of two Israelis who were jailed for passport fraud in New Zealand last year.
