In a last-minute crackdown the Israel authorities yesterday cancelled a Protestant missionary broadcast, part of which was to be transmitted in Hebrew.
The authorities followed a precedent set up during the Mandatory regime when proselytizing broadcasts could not be made in Hebrew. Five Protestant churches have complained to Israel Premier David Ben Gurion over the last-minute ban.
