Israel Cabinet Initiates Works Program to Fight Unemployment

The Israel Cabinet today decided to initiate a Program of public works designed to cut down the number of unemployed workers in the Jewish State. Official statistics list the number of unemployed last week at 16,800, with the largest number in Haifa, followed by Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in that order.
