Israel called on the Palestinian Authority president-elect to crack down on terrorism. “The main focus at this stage, following the election, should be Palestinian action on terror,” Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s office quoted him as telling visiting Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) on Monday after a final tally showed Mahmoud Abbas winning 62 percent of votes in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
