Israel is among a number of nations around the world capable of producing an atomic bomb, Dr. Glenn T. Seaborg, chairman of the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission, declared here today. He made that statement in a copyrighted article in the weekly news magazine, U. S. News and World Report.
According to Dr. Seaborg, the countries with present A-bomb capability are Japan, India, West Germany, Sweden, Italy, Canada and Israel. Countries that could produce “the” Lomb over a longer period, he said, are Brazil, Switzerland, Spain, Yugoslavia and Egypt.
