The grave view and the possible serious consequences of further Jordanian acts of aggression were conveyed here, in talks with State Department officials yesterday and today, by Israel diplomats in discussions on the wanton attack by Jordan in Jerusalem yesterday.
It is understood that the Israeli diplomats pointed out that repeated investigations have confirmed that, contrary to Jordanian contentions, not one shot was fired from Israeli positions in Jerusalem. Allegations of Israel fire were used by Jordanians in an attempt to justify their attack across the border.
It is believed that United States officials again expressed their concern over the deterioration of the situation along the border and reiterated their firm deploring of any acts of violence and use of force.
