Israel Defense Force officers met with Palestinian representatives to discuss plans to transfer security control over three Arab villages outside Jerusalem to the Palestinian Authority. The Israeli officers said the move, approved in the Knesset earlier this week, would not be carried out until a full inquiry is conducted into who was responsible for the Palestinian gunfire on Israeli forces earlier this week in the territories.
