Israel eased restrictions on Palestinian movement. Israel’s Defense Ministry announced Sunday that new permits to work in Israel would be issued to 8,000 Palestinians from the West Bank and 2,000 from the Gaza Strip. Another 13,000 travel permits were issued to Palestinian merchants and hotel staff who work in Jerusalem.
