Customs officials have been ordered by the Ministry of Agriculture to cease confiscating food parcels brought by new immigrants as a procedure contrary to Premier David Ben Gurion’s declaration in the Knesset last week.

Three thousand Jewish immigrants arrived in Israel today aboard four vessels. Twenty-three hundred came aboard three vessels early in the morning and seven hundred landed at night.
