Israel Government Sells Sugar Factory to Group of Mexican Investors

A new sugar factory being built by the Government has been sold to a group of Mexican investors, in the first transaction of the kind, it was announce here today.

Pinhas Sapir, Minister of Commerce and Industry, who signed the contract for the sale of the factory today, said the investors will pay 14, 000, 000 Israeli pounds, of which 40 percent will be in cash, and the remainder on a 15-year loan. The investing group was represented here by Moshe Darshan, Alfredo Bernstein, and Leon Bialik
