Israeli U.N. representative Aubrey Eban today submitted the following message, signed by Foreign Minister Moshe Shertok, to acting mediator Ralph Bunche: “The Provisional Government of Israel is willing to meet the Egyptian Government any time for the purpose of negotiating either directly or through the mediator’s good offices all differences outstanding between the two governments.” A copy of the message was also placed in the hands of Warren R. Austin.
