Israel is ready to renew negotiations with Syria, but without preconditions. Speaking on Israel Radio, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres said Israel is ready to renew negotiations based on U.N. Security Council resolutions 242 and 338, which call for peace based on territorial compromise.
