Israel is reportedly asking Canada to grant political asylum to a Syrian and an Iranian held in an Israeli jail. Israel’s High Court of Justice heard a petition from the two, who are seeking their release. The men, who infiltrated into Israel several years ago, said they feared for their lives if sent back to their home countries.
