“A leading figure in the American Government told me most solemnly that Israel has no reason to fear that the United States desire to improve its relations with the Arab countries will harm the friendly relations between the U.S. and Israel, nor will this affect America’s readiness to extend help to Israel,” Dr. Dove Joseph, Israel Cabinet member, reported here today. Dr. Joseph just returned form a visit to the United States.

Bruce McDaniel, head of the Technical Cooperation Administration mission in Israel, and Israel officials today toured a number of projects in northern Israel financed by the TCA program and U.S. grant-in-aid funds. Fifty-nine million dollars of the funds earmarked for Israel have already been released by the TCA, it was revealed during the tour.
