A considerable variety of goods are being offered Israel by many German corporations which are flooding the Israel “purchasing mission” her with catalogues and letters offering goods for Israel’s choice as reparations payments from West Germany.
Dr. A Yachil, deputy head of the mission which will select the goods and services to be provided Israel, today said that nearly every branch of German industry whose products Israel would desire as the reparations payments has already offered its goods. The Bonn Government will pay for what is chosen, within the general payments framework.
The senior members of the mission are not expected to arrive at its headquarters here until after the German Bundestag rectifies the reparations pact. The vanguard of the Israeli arrived two weeks ago.
