Israel Naval Units Enter Gulf of Akaba Through Captured Strait

Israel naval units have already entered the Gulf of Akaba through the Strait of Tiran, newly freed from Egyptian blockade by the capture of the island at the close of the Sinai campaign, it was reported here today.

Egyptian prisoners of war will soon be concentrated in one large camp under International Red Cross supervision, it was announced here. The Egyptian POW’s will receive the same food which Israeli troops get. Officers have been separated from the men and receive special treatment.
