Ambassadors of the Arab States called at the Foreign Office tonight to protest presentation by John Walter Nicholls, new British envoy to Israel of his credentials in Jerusalem. They were informed by Minister of State Anthony Nutting that this did not mean recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel.
