Plans to stage traditional festivals marking the harvesting of the new state’s agricultural products on the occasion of Succoth were announced today. Tourists will be invited to witness the ceremonies. At the same time plans are being worked out to arrange conducted tours which will give visitors in this country an opportunity to see life in the Jewish state at closer range.
The economic department of the Jewish Agency has opened the first of a contemplated country-wide network of civil aviation fan clubs here. The organization plans to promote Israel tourism by establishing promotion centers abroad. Two such centers are already in operation in Basle and Paris and others are expected to be formed soon.
