President Zalmam Shazar today established a fund of 100,000 pounds ($33,000) to finance visits to Israel by Jewish scholars and writers abroad. The Central Committee of the Histadrut, Israel’s labor federation, has contributed 10,000 pounds ($3,300) to the fund.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
