Burns, United Nations truce chief, they left behind more troops than they were legally entitled to station at three checkpoints on Egyptian soil inside the demilitarized zone. Meanwhile, infiltrators from Egypt cut Israel telephone lines within the demilitarized zone this week-end.
Syrian military positions on the eastern shore of Lake Kinnereth opened fire on an Israel patrol boat today, a military spokesman announced in Tel Aviv. He said no casualties had been reported.
