Israel pulled troops out of Palestinian-controlled areas. Israel withdrew troops from the West Bank cities of Jenin, Nablus and part of Ramallah. A blockade was also lifted around the cities of Hebron and Kalkilya. The steps were taken ahead of Thursday’s arrival of Anthony Zinni.
