Mordecai Kidron, Deputy Permanent Representative of Israel, deposited his government’s instrument of ratification to the Convention on the Political Rights of Women here yesterday.

This brings to 11 the number of ratifications of the convention, which seeks to advance women’s political rights. The convention came into force today, 90 days after the deposit of the sixth ratification. Twenty-eight other countries have signed but not yet acceded to the convention.
