Five tons of electrical equipment, destined for the War Ministry of Egypt, was frozen by Israel authorities when the Swedish vessel “Gunda” anchored in Haifa, it was revealed here today.

The Swedish charge d’affaires demanded the release of the goods, but the Israel authorities pointed out that as long as the Egyptian Government confiscated goods destined for Israel, the Israel Government would similarly hold goods being shipped to Egypt. After negotiating, the equipment was released to be returned to Holland, the original shipping point.
