Israel has already approached France, Belgium, and Holland with a request that they help the Jewish state obtain arms, the Yorkshire Post diplomatic correspondent reported today. He added that the prospect of the U.N. Security Council lifting its arms ban on the Middle East is responsible for Israel’s approach to the three nations.

The Star reported that King Abdullah of Transjordan is scheduled to leave his capital for London next week on a “mission of high international importance.” The same newspaper adds that Transjordan Premier Tewfik Pasha, who is now in Paris, will arrive here before his monarch.
