A special plaque bearing the seal of the city of Jerusalem was presented to the captain of the vessel SS Jerusalem yesterday by Itzhak Kariv, Mayor of Jerusalem, as the ship departed on its first run to New York. It is carrying 600 passengers and flowers from Mayor Kariv to New York’s Mayor Vincent Impelliteri. The ship is owned by the Israel-United States Line.
