Israel Singer received the Legion of Honor on Monday at a ceremony in Paris. Singer, chairman of the World Jewish Congress, received the award from French Finance Minister Nicolas Sarkozy for his work cementing ties between the United States and France and for fostering relations between Catholics and Jews.
