Israel to Receive $68,800,000 in U.S. Food; to Pay in Israeli Currency

Israel will receive $68,000,000 in surplus American agricultural commodities, with payment in Israeli pounds, under a new “food for peace” agreement being signed this week by Israeli and U. S. officials, it was learned today. The agreement covers a three-year period, terminating in 1965.
