Israel told a U.S.-led team that is to monitor progress on the “road map” peace plan to stay at home. “We don’t need monitors when there is nothing to monitor,” an Israeli official told the Jerusalem Post. In a related development, Dov Weisglass, a senior aide to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, met Wednesday with President Bush’s national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice.
