Details of the pact, which have just become available, reveal that Israel has agreed to purchase 150,000 tons of wheat from Turkey, the first 40, 000 tons of which will be delivered next month. In addition, Israel will buy the equivalent of $600,000 worth of Turkish cotton and $1,000,000 worth of various other agricultural products including rice, oil cake and oil seed. Israel will pay for these with its own products, some of which are already on order and approved for import by the Turkish authorities.
