Canadian Postmaster General William Hamilton today played mailman in personally delivering a letter from Israel Premier David Ben Gurion to Canada’s Prime Minister John G. Diefenbaker. Mr. Hamilton just returned from Israel and was a guest of Mr. Ben Gurion. At a press conference here, he expressed in glowing terms his enthusiasm for Israel.
Premier Ben Gurion in his letter to Prime Minister Diefenbaker said Israel always will be indebted to Canada for the friendship and solidarity shown the young state in the first ten years of its existence.
