Israel will not evacuate settlements in the Gaza Strip under fire. Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, in his first detailed discussion of the plan, told Israeli lawmakers Monday that security forces would move on small Gaza settlements before attempting to evacuate the big Gush Katif bloc.
