Esther Roth, Israel’s top entry in the 1976 Olympics, finished sixth in the women’s 100-meter hurdles but set a new Israeli record of 13.04 seconds. This beat her semi-finals time of 13.06 seconds which had bettered her previous record of 13.09 seconds.
