Israeli Cabinet minister Meir Sheetrit called on American Jews to boycott former President Carter’s new book. Sheetrit in a speech last Saturday to congregants at the New York Synagogue said Carter’s book, “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid,” “perpetuates the distortion and lies promulgated by the many against the State of Israel.”
