Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Israel and the United States view as “very grave” recent statements by Syrian President Bashar Assad supporting Iraq and dismissing the possibility of peace with Israel. Mofaz made his comments Tuesday during a visit to an Israeli army induction base.
