Eliahu Epstein, Israeli representative to the United States, asserted last night at the 32nd annual dinner of the Histadruth Ivrith of America that the teaching of Hebrew and the fostering of Hebrew culture constitute “a concrete task for Jewish institutions and organizations outside Israel in the immediate future.” The dinner marked the launching of the Histadruth Ivrith’s New York drive for $100,000 to promote Hebrew literature in the United States.
