Israeli Officer En Route to Mixed Talks Fired on by Arabs

An Israeli officer approaching the Israel-Jordan border near Budrus on his way to attend a meeting of local commanders of the two sides, was fired on today by Jordanians. He was not hurt. No meeting was held as a result, and the Israeli authorities have complained to the Mixed Armistice Commission.
