Israeli officials are meeting in Washington with the Bush administration about the details of a military aid and loan guarantee package. Dov Weisglass, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s bureau chief, met with Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and economic officials Thursday, a day after meeting with U.S. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice. Weisglass told reporters the dialogue between the two countries is nearing an end and he expects the aid request to be submitted “in a very timely manner.”
