Israeli officials said the bombing of a U.N. post in southern Lebanon this summer, in which four U.N. peacekeepers were killed, was caused by faulty maps. The Israeli air force hit a U.N. outpost in a July 26 strike in Lebanon, drawing harsh criticism from U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, who accused Israel of deliberately targeting U.N. forces.
