Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon is opposed to reported efforts to mobilize a new right-wing party headed by former Likud Party Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Sharon was quoted by the Israeli daily Ha’aretz as warning that the move would split the right-wing camp and hamper efforts to bring down the current government.
