Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon rejected Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s call to join a national unity government. Sharon said the Israeli concessions made at the Sharm el-Sheik emergency summit marked a return to understandings reached in July at Camp David, which he strongly opposes.
