Abu Nidal’s Fatah Revolutionary Council was the target of the latest Israeli air force strike in southern Lebanon, which occurred Thursday evening near the coastal city of Sidon.
Three Palestinians reportedly were wounded in the attack, which Lebanese sources said was carried out by three Cobra assault helicopters. All Israeli aircraft returned safely to their bases.
Thursday’s air strike was the 10th carried out against terrorist targets in Lebanon this year. Recent attacks have been aimed at groups allied with the Shiite extremist Hezbollah, or Party of God.
